David E. Moore’s Article ‘Tagger Graffiti: Art or Vandalism?’ Featured in ABODE Magazine

Houston, TX (3/2/2021) — David E. Moore, Principal & Chief Operating Officer, specializing in large multi-family claims in the U.S., was featured in ABODE magazine, the Houston Apartment Association (HAA)’s 80-page monthly magazine distributed to HAA’s membership. David’s article entitled, “Tagger Graffiti: Art or Vandalism?” discusses the Houston metropolitan’s long-standing issue with graffiti.

Moore reached out to the HAA, to inquire about their editorial calendar for ABODE Magazine. When he learned that a ‘Crime and Safety’ edition was in the works for March, he knew it would be a good opportunity to discuss how vandalism impacts multifamily owners and investors as it pertains to their property insurance.

“I wanted a greater perspective on how graffiti impacts the Houston community,” said Morgan Taylor, Managing Editor for the Houston Apartment Association. “Our mission with the Houston Apartment Association is to support our members, both Houston-area apartments and supplier partners, by supplying them with resources and information relevant to the multifamily industry.”

Suppliers for the Houston Apartment Association are given the opportunity to share their expert knowledge and establish themselves as thought leaders in the industry by submitting their articles to ABODE magazine.

David’s article dives into the truth of how all types of graffiti are illegal and against the law in the state of Texas. Many well-intended artistic individuals do not think about the consequences of their actions and the property owners that they impact. Just one instance of graffiti can cause more crime in the area and decrease property values. We are grateful for the opportunity to address this issue in the multifamily industry.
