Houston's Hinduism & Asian Indian Cultural Association Will Use Funds to Build a New Community Center

Jansen/Adjusters International’s CEO Art Jansen has pledged $50,000 to United Leuva of Houston, a non-profit cultural, religious and non-political organization dedicated to providing a forum for social meetings and religious observations. Its goal is to develop closer ties between the Hindu faith, the local Houston community, and Surti Leuva Patidar (a group of Asian Indian landowners/hotel owners) in the Houston area.

When construction is finished, the community center will be a welcome social center in COVID-19’s wake. It will provide locals a place to meet and host banquets, weddings, sporting events, religious festivals and tradeshows. Dipak Patel is a volunteer for the United Leuva of Houston and a long-time Jansen/AI client leading the organization’s fundraising initiative.

Art Jansen states that he is both honored and excited to enter a five-year alliance with United Leuva of Houston to support the construction of the new community center. "I am honored to have the opportunity to give back in such a way. I value the relationship that we have fostered with Mr. Patel," said Jansen.

Chris Rich, Property Loss Consultant of Jansen/AI stated, "I have known Dipak for 20 years. I am thrilled to be able to give back [to the Asian Indian community].”

Leuva Patidar community boasts a rich and ancient history that dates back centuries in India. Today, "Patidars" reside worldwide, including in the U.S., Canada, Great Britain, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand.

Despite relocation to a new nation, Patidars remember their roots. They are actively involved in local and national organizations that promote culture, religion, sports, festivals and other functions. The adjoining sports complex will be a great place to play indoor and outdoor sports.

You don't need to be a Patidar to enjoy the rich culture of Asian Indians. The community center will be a place of learning, socialization and spiritual growth for everyone in the Houston area.
